Ingredients used

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 4oz Gruyere cheese, sliced
  • 8 oz Ham, sliced
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 oz Milk
  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • A pinch of Nutmeg
  • A pinch of Cayenne
  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup

Preparation

  • STEP 1

    Slice croissants, spread each with mayonnaise and mustard. Equally arrange the ham and cheese on each

  • STEP 2

    Combine eggs, milk, nutmeg and cayenne and mix and beat with fork or whisk until smooth.

  • STEP 3

    Dip each sandwich to coat with egg mixture on both sides.

  • STEP 4

    Place on pan or griddle set to medium heat. Cook on both sides until cheese has melted.

  • STEP 5

    Dust lightly with powdered sugar and serve with small dish of maple syrup for dipping.
